What if…?

What if, instead of spending $825 million or more to build a new prison, we spent that money on mental health programs and drug treatment programs to help keep people out of prison in the first place?

What if, instead of asking the bottom 90% of taxpayers to pay for private school tuition for the top 10%, we asked the top 10% to pay for private school tuition themselves?

What if, instead of using tax payer’s money to fund private schools that do not have to meet the same teacher certification standards as public schools, we required private schools to meet those same standards or we withhold the money?

What if, instead of sitting on a budget surplus, we use some of it to offset outrageous fuel and fertilizer costs for our farmers?

And what if we use $100 million or so of that same surplus to make $5,000-$10,000-$25,000-$50,000 low-interest loans to people wanting to start small businesses?

Imagine what we could do!
